Who is D.M. Wideman?
D.M. Wideman is the chief cook and bottle washer for Outlier Press.
Educated at the University of Toronto, he holds a B.Sc. in Psychology and an M.Ed. in Measurement and Evaluation.
Over the years, he has worked variously as a canoe trip leader, a child care worker, a researcher in the field of education, and in partnership with his wife, as a builder of vacation homes. His latest project is the restoration of an old "student rental" on the fringes of Queen's University, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Incidently, he first met C.C. Thistlethwaite in the spring of 1979 (while working on an asphalt shingle roof in Kennebec Township) at which time they founded The Society of Metaphysicians and Roofers.
His other interests include running, white water kayaking, and Zen Buddhism.
